As a huge country music fan, I am super stoked about this years Runaway Country being held at Osceola Heritage Park, in Kissimmee. Runaway Country is 3 days of concerts by some of Country Musics biggest stars. The lineup includes: Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, Billy Currington and many, many more! Included in this years Runaway Country is their local artist search. Runaway is scouring Central Florida looking for local talent to compete in a mini competition of sorts, and the winner gets to play in front of thousands of fans at this years event. The first part of the competition starts this Friday at House of Blues Orlando. See the press release for more information.

Local artists are busy rehearsing their best live performance. Over the next six weeks, soloists, duos and bands will play in front of fans and independent judges in hopes of being awarded the chance of a lifetime. A slot has been reserved to play the main stage just before Tyler Farr and Jason Aldean at the Runaway Country Music Festival, March 17-19 at Osceola Heritage Park.
Beginning 7:00pm, this Friday at House of Blues Orlando, artists looking for a big break will give it their best shot.
Runaway Country Executive Producer, Gary McCann explained, “Each year we dedicate resources to artists looking for exposure and help getting to the next level. We are thrilled Jason Aldean and Tyler Farr have joined the effort. The next several weeks will be an exciting time for many talented musicians. The winner will play in front of tens of thousands of music fans on the big stage.”
Fans wanting to attend this Friday, tickets are available at Runaway Country’s Facebook page. Admission is free while supplies last otherwise tickets are $5.00 at House of Blues.
Artists scheduled to compete include Skyler Clark, John Rhey, Black Bird Anthem and Diamond Dixie.
AJ Maguire from K92.3 is the evening’s host and emcee.
Runaway Country production assistant, Tara Miller added, “We want everyone to get involved supporting these great, young artists. Fans will be voting for their favorites helping them get to the main stage.”
